This poem is for the days when you find it hard to breathe
For the days when you feel like no one cares
The days where you feel like a fraud for merely existing
For the days when silence is your only companion and your thoughts run wild
This is for the days when you're tempted to give up on everything
Remember first that you're not alone
In this struggle, you're not
Remember that light can exist in darkness too this is where it shines best
You're here for a reason
You beautiful ball of magic and fire
Potential flows through your bones
And you've been graced for the task ahead in a way that only you can
Your life is a blessing
You will scale through this
Pain overwhelms you because that is the entirety of its power over you
You determine the extent to which it takes over
I know it's hard
But if anybody can do this it's you
Scars are for victors and in this battle, you have already won
Carry yourself with the grace of one
Who knows that the elasticity of your strength
Is cemented by the light within you
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel
You are the light in this dark tunnel
Shine
Like the sun, give light in excessive amounts
Because you were designed to do so
So, get up
Brush your teeth. Bath
Shower yourself with soap and then with praises
Lather your heart with kindness then rinse and repeat
Love knows your name and it won't let you go
On your hardest days
I hope you never forget that even though you can't see it
This world is a better place because you're in it
So smile, in the lovely way that lights up the room
