Oh what a beautiful picture Towers of steel and glass Reaching towards the sky A perfect Utopia Paradise on Earth for all mankind Where hatered and poverty Are now just ancient history A prosperous world for us To last eternally This will come to end So let the fires fill the sky Nothing lasts my friend I feel the ground is caving in A framed picture lies broken Beneath a sky grayed out with smoke and ash The towers have fallen We brought this on ourselves And now this world is Just a wretched husk Of it's former self Layed to waste By the greedy hands of man All that is left now Is a polluted and dying world But one way or another Life always finds a way What has once been broken Will in time be whole again Long after we are gone This world will still be going strong This will come to end So let the fires fill the sky Nothing lasts my friend I feel the ground is caving in
