I'm all for the red, white and blue
But I also like beige and burgundy too
Yes, I'm deeply in love with the flag
But red, white and blue all the time, it's a drag
Couldn't we just have a hint of lilac just on one stripe?
A little touch of magenta on one star?
And how do you feel, wouldn't teal be a fun stripe?
Or maybe fuchsia or tan? Or peach or pecan?
Or puce? No, maybe puce is a bit too far?
Oh I'm all for the old stars and stripes

Just a dab of forest green or a tad of tangerine
And there's more than one marine who'd like a little aubergine
There's still a hell of a lot to be thankful for in the USA tonight
Because the Canadian flag is only red and white, no blue
