There's a spot that will ever be sacred to Me, as the years of earth's Pilgrimage roll. In it's beauty 'tis vivid in my memory. The spot where Jesus spoke peace To my soul Out in sin I was wandering unable to See, 'til I gave the dear Savior control. Then the gates of his sheepfold sprang Open for me, and Jesus from sin set Me free Oh, I cherish that spot where Jesus Saved me, where to him I yielded control. Could I but go there today, I would kneel down and pray, where Jesus from Sin set me free Now I'm safe in the fold of his wonderful grace. And I'm happy where 'ere I may be, But I cherish with reference that first Altar place where Jesus spoke peace to my soul
