(Matthew 5:1-16)
And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain.
And when He was seated, His disciples came to Him.
And He opened His mouth and He taught them. And He said:
Blessed are the poor in spirit
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are those who mourn, for comfort shall be theirs
Blessed are the gentle, they shall inherit the earth
Blessed, blessed are they, blessed are they
Blessed are those who hunger
Blessed are those who thirst
Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, surely shall be filled
Blessed are the merciful, they shall obtain mercy
Blessed, blessed are they
Truly I say, you are the salt of the earth
Oh, so don't you lose your savor
Truly I say you are the light of the world
So let your light shine before men
That they may glorify your Father
And the people were astonished at His teaching,
For He taught them not as their
Scribes did, but as one having authority!
Blessed are the pure in heart, they shall see G-d
And blessed are the peacemakers
They shall be called the sons of G-d
And you who suffer for My name's sake
Yours is the kingdom of Heaven
