I went with my baby on out in the woods

Her wetstuffs went dry like the spark in her eye
And I knew where I stood forever dead she would lie

So I gathered some flowers and built up a cairn
I said a few words and got outta there
For in the woods there were sounds

But the noises were vultures that lit on her mound

And the shuffling of cold feet on our earthen floor
I reached under the mattress for my hunting knife
