Biography
Hearing the music of Luke De-Sciscio you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d stumbled upon the archive of some long lost 60’s gem. The quintessential troubadour hidden away in a room somewhere baring his soul to tape in a ceaseless search to understand, or at least trace, the contours of his heart. In actual fact Luke De-Sciscio is a contemporary singer-songwriter from Swindon who has, over the last decade, built a repertoire of work which bursts with the humanity, authenticity and insatiable drive for truth that defined those most revered of creators. Introduced to guitar by his Grandfather, Luke relocated to Bath in his 20’s where, whilst living on a canal boat, he found the true breadth of his talent. With most recordings (save for the odd piano tune) exhibiting a single live take of simply voice and guitar is it no small wonder that Luke has managed to carve out his niche amongst the digital landscape, where most strive for perfection, he strives for truth. What he offers is truly transcendent moments. Where through the devotion to his craft; mesmerising guitar, the mercurial elasticity of his voice and disarming lyricism, those few ingredients show us an insight into realms beyond our own. That thirst for realness which defines his sound is an open invitation to believe in the best of us and, in the music of Luke De-Sciscio, we find the soundtrack.
