When I was a kid, after school, I'd go straight to the TV
Watch Sailor Moon, battle it out
And I grew up learning just how to say "thank you" and "sorry"
There's nothing to worry about

Had that same type of wide-eyed girl
Drawn in anime style
Don't really know how I ended up so fascinated with this
It must've taken a while
And now I wanna learn the language
Is it too late for me to try this?

And most of the time I just blurt out the first thing I think of
And then assess the damage
And I have to know if I'm talking politely or casually
Both are very different
It's just that the order of sentences is flipped 180°
No subject-verb agreement
