Biography

An admirer of Ravel, Bartók, Oasis and Tame Impala, Alban Claudin is a classically trained musician, an expert in electronic keyboards and a prolific drummer. A talented artist, he created works for documentaries, collaborated with prestigious brands (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Van Cleef & Arpels…) before focusing on writing his first album. Finding the sound that would identify his music took days of studios experiments before the final recordings were completed in late 2019. “Even if it is only 300 years old, the piano has been exploited in all possible forms and it is very difficult to reinvent it, to make something out of it that hasn’t been done” says Alban. Released in March 2021, "It's a Long Way to Happiness" was hailed as a radiant, luminous and timeless album. It exceeded 8 million streams in 8 months and established the profile of an artist with a unique personality, confirmed by the videos of each single from the album. In between commissioned works, sessions and concerts (check albanclaudin.com for dates), he returns to the green paradise of Sens (Burgundy) so that he can compose in the peace and quiet and recharge his batteries in the surrounding countryside. In Autumn 2021, Alban Claudin was back in the studio to record his first full length movie soundtrack for Guillaume Gouix’s film “Amore Mio“ (due for October 2022) and for a series of new tracks. Two of them have already been released : Clair de Lune in October 2021 and more recently “Bells Variation”.
