I took you out of Canaan
The land of the covenant
A land full of compromise
But only for a time
Because Canaan's sins run deep
I have put you in this place to make the nation great
I have increased your strength
And now I'm calling you out.
For now I hear a groan arise
And there's a covenant that survives
By the offering of a faithful man
Who left his own for the assurance of a new land
Following blind belief
An assurance as big as the sands of the sea
Just as smoke and flame assed between in that day
Smoke and flame will take the lead again

Her God prevails
Gather the people!
Gather the elders!
Gather the children of your fathers
Gather together all your possessions
You will plunder from their indiscretions
Blood, frogs, lice, flies, and disease
I will do many mighty things
That they may tremble before your God
But still their heart won't relent
Boils, hail, locusts, darkness and death
And the power of the Almighty will break their resolve
When this trail has come to an end
You will stand before Me here again
And you will say,
"Surely the Lord is a man of war"
