Biography

Young Lunya is a Tanzanian Hip Hop artist who is blazing his trail in Tanzania and East Africa at large. He grew up covering songs by artists like Professor Jay, Chidi and Nikki Mbishi and was a member of the popular group OMG before embarking on a solo career in 2019. His lyrical prowess has produced hits like Mbuzi, the Freestyle Session series and Fimbo. Lunya also teamed up with fellow East African hip hop heavyweight Khaligraph Jones for the memorable Yes Bana Remix. Lunya is working on a new album slated for release this year, hot on the heels of his latest Freestyle Session 4.
