Biography
SMP (Sounds of Mass Production) is an American industrial-rock band. The band debuted in 1995 with the critically acclaimed Stalemate album. Since then the band have toured North America many times and have released seven original albums. The band is currently signed to WTII Records. SMP's most recent record, "Death of the Format" was written by Jason Bazinet and Mike Ostrander (64K). Drums were handled by Galen Waling (Left Spine Down, Unit 187) and the record was produced and mixed at Deathproof Studios by Chris Demarcus. The album features guest appearances by Dan Miura (Straight to Hell), Kerry Vink (Stiff Valentine) and rappers Tranq & Jason Porter. The current live line-up of SMP is Jason Bazinet, James Ramos, and Rey Guajardo. SMP's main contributor, Jason Bazinet, is also known for drumming with popular industrial bands Front Line Assembly, 16Volt, and Chemlab.
