Biography
Press play on theatrical pop artist Melina KB’s catalog and land smack dab in the middle of a Broadway cast party, a whimsical Disney plot line, and a girl’s night all in the course of a tune. A Bostonian based in Nashville, Tennessee, this rising artist pens fiercely confrontational lyrics over melodies as sweet as Music City. KB’s writing is fueled by a lifetime of belting show-tunes & anthems by Hayley Williams of Paramore, Maisie Peters, Sara Bareilles, and Abigail Barlow. In her teenage years she fronted bands ranging from ska to country at The Real School of Music & Berklee’s Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive, took the stage as lead roles in musicals, and collaborated with Harvard Making Caring Common to produce an activism-through-arts showcase. Music industry internships with Song Suffragettes, Starstruck Entertainment, Twelve6 Entertainment, and current work as a Strategic Partnerships & Social Media Representative for °1824 x Universal Music Group further inspire KB’s devotion to out-of-the-box marketing & personal fan engagement. Taking Tik Tok by storm with over 100K videos to her empowering single “I’ve Had Enough”, playing sold-out shows at Nashville venues, and garnering over 33 million streams across music platforms, Melina KB is skyrocketing to stardom.
