I don't know how he did the things that he did He could fix anythng with a handful of tools Never missed a bill and raised five kids I used to ride along on jobs i learned lots of things About roofs that leaked to kitchen sinks and everything in between He was a friend he was a father Just an ordinary man But i swear he could work miracles with those two calloused Hands He never made a lot of money but i thought we had a lot And man he tried to change the world in that red pick up truck And that old toolbox He never passed up a chance to help a neighbor out He would work on their cars or cut their grass Even spread the word to those in doubt He was on call day or night it was like he never stopped He kept wrenches pliers, old screwdrivers and a bible in that box He was a friend he was a father Just an ordinary man But i swear he could work miracles with those two calloused Hands He never made a lot of money but we thought we had a lot And man he tried to change the world in that red pick up truck And that old toolbox
