Debut of another new Nadas tune, "Hear That Sound"
On Capital 106.3, we're with Jason from the Nadas
And I really like it, I have to say
'Cause I am kind of a geek in my mind
Since I grew up in the dawn of the MTV generation
I kind of create my own music video in my mind
And when I hear that, I just think of driving down the street
With the windows rolled down and the music cranked
I don't know what it is about that tune but it gives me that feeling
Well, that's awesome, 'cause I think that was sorta the place we were at
When we started writin' the song, it was sorta the scene we set for ourselves
So I guess it worked
And we're gonna have that up in my blog, should be there after nine
You can listen to it and we'll set up another poll, is that cool?
Yeah it'd be great, tell us what you really think
And I'm gonna post some other video here, based on your trip in Colorado
You had a rough time, can you tell us about that?
Colorado hurt so good, it was, we always go out there and have a really good time
And we hit it really hard
This time though, coming over Rabbit Ears Pass into Steamboat
We rode the brakes a little hard and
And then the bus caught fire, it was pretty exciting
Wow, it actually caught on fire, now how long were you driving do you think
Before you realised the thing was-
Well, about halfway down the mountain the bus kinda filled with smoke
I don't think we thought it was on fire, other than
Where there's smoke, there's fire, I guess
But we knew the brakes were gettin' hot and we were doing
Everything we could to keep it, you know, kinda going slow
But anyway we made it to the bottom, we sat there
And we thought, "We're in the clear" but then we got out of the bus
And it was billowing out smoke, so it was a wild ride
That is crazy, just adding to the history of this bus
Which was once Meatloaf's, right?
Yeah, it's an '85 Eagle that used to belong to Meatloaf
It's got about three million miles on it, it's going strong
Excellent, so it's okay, the fire was put out and-
Yeah, thanks to the Steamboat Springs fire department
Which just happened to be two blocks away
Came to our rescue and put out the fire
It was meant to be, well that's good, I'm glad you guys are okay
And we're now, what, halfway through the Almanac project, six months in?
Yeah, we're halfway done and it's startin' to feel like a real record
And I don't know, I'm really excited about all these songs
And how they've come together and I think there's some really strong ones on there
Started out with "Bitter Love" and go to shows now
And people are singing the words to that song, so
Yeah, very cool yeah, it's a great track
And a chance, I'm guessing, to hear it live when you're in 80/35 this weekend?
Yeah we got 80/35 coming up, we missed the first year
And we're very excited that they invited us to be a part of this year
So I'm sure we'll play that song
Alright, cool, we'll see you out there at 80/35
And Jason, as always, thanks for coming in each month
And debuting these brand new Nadas tunes, it's a lot of fun
Thanks for having us
