Have you lost your love in the gospel and feel dissatisfied
Yesterday you loved it but today you're putting that aside
Let's examine reasons why one would commit apostasy

Killing sin, isn't a daily performance anymore
They're givin' in, livin' in idolatry with heavy force
This is the opposite of sinful hearts that are softening
They avoid the topics of Christ's person and His offices
They forget the righteousness of God and now make up their own
Refusing to submit to Jehovah's son who is on the throne
When they read the Scriptures they don't recognize authority
They will seem as wicked 'cause they are declining morally
Persecutions and national sins can also lead astray
If this is you the rational thing to do is to seek and pray
Christian brothers and sisters I hope you truly get this
So be vicious against fiction and preserve the true religion
Be concerned for his glory to keep you far from doubt
'Cause if you're discerning, all these stories yo you'll call 'em out
Let's contend for the faith once delivered to the saints
But if you pretend, your end is fire, water you won't taste
Watchfulness is vital so protect yourself and all the fam
And smash the idols in your heart, your home, and all the land
You're saved through faith
So don't trust all these outward privileges
They're not a means of forgiveness but gospel images
So let's practice serving Jesus with what he had handed
Only partaking of elements of worship he commanded
Be in meditation, deliberate and occasional
