Biography
Coming on to the scene in 2020, purpl has started to make a name for herself in the alt-pop world. Having already worked with some incredibly talented and successful producers, including the likes of Sky Adams (Kylie Minogue, Doja Cat), Lostboy (Tiesto, Chris Brown), and Paul Stanborough (Janet Jackson, Tina Turner), purpl has developed a unique sound that blends alternative pop with subtle rnb tones and vulnerable lyrics. 'Tender pop melodies infused with a rich sense of autobiography, purpl's literate song writing is set to a gorgeous sonic palette' - CLASH After a strong finish to 2022, purpl finally took to the stage by headlining BBC Introducing live at 60 Million Postcards, Bournemouth. She's since played at The Halley X DMY live sessions in London, The Bristol Takeover, The Louisiana and Camden Club. She was also announced in the first wave of artists for 110 above festival and is particularly proud of being invited on to BBC Radio Solent to perform live for international womens day. Purpl's debut EP 'classic holographic' was written, produced, engineered and mixed almost entirely in purpl's Bristol flat by herself and long term collaborator and boyfriend @zephthisatrip. From the heartfelt and vulnerable 'Morphine' that impressed UK tastemakers and landed a place on New Music Friday UK, to the sassy and sultry 'why'd u ghost me?' that got airplay on BBC Radio 1. Whatever you're feeling, purpl puts her heart on the line to let you know she's felt it too.
