Sometimes I feel like turning off mind & rest in stillness
Forget about my life and lose touch with what's familiar
Detach myself from dreams and desires
Where I was and where I'm gon be
From being friends for years to nah nigga you don't know me
Disengage from judgement and giving meaning
Cuz all the anguish to become somebody can be a beating
Just to justify a fucking reason to why I'm breathing
Doesn't make sense at all
This the game we have to play though
Can't dismiss the ego gotta wear it like it's plain clothes
And find balance
Between being happy with where you are and wanting that palace
Cuz if you're too content you're never growing
But if you're stuck in the future you're never in the moment
I find life to be constant battle
Between your soul and your ego
And you know, overall just finding that balance
Not getting too caught up into the left
Not getting too caught up into the right
And be able to emerge in that serenity
That peace, while we're striving for more
Lately I've been overwhelmed by past wounds
Never thought they would comeback to
Haunt me like they've done these past few, months
But I never doubt the process
Deep inside I know there lies a seed that's built for progress
They say you always understand life looking back
So right now don't waste your time dissecting where you at
Forget all of the labels & forget trying to reason
It's all in your head, ain't gotta see it to believe it
Cuz what's really real?
Regardless of what's outside it's inside of you that's gon feel
That's what I've realized
Deny what's in your sight you gotta tune in with your real eye
Search within i promise you that's where you'll find the real prize

Forget religion look beyond this 3rd dimension
Truth is the truth was never hidden just forgotten
Once you know you see that winning is your only option

And your emotions and your thoughts
Where is it really happening?
Inside of you
You feel me. so what's really outside then?
An aspect of what's within you
That's the beauty of it
