The dream is always the same It's raining The sound of thunder underlines my terror Lightning silhouettes titanic beasts in the sky Their cries echoing above me I am running But never know from whom or what As I come over the hill I see the mansion Seeking shelter from the storm With resignation, I approach the structure Abandoned and dilapidated Countless times I had been here In this exact moment But whether from my fear or by waking I had never been able to enter This time, however, something had changed The door opens before me I hesitate, as somehow I know I am not welcome here But I cannot turn back My hands tremble A chill crawls up my spine As I stare into the darkness And I feel the most unsettling gravity Beckoning me up the steps Pulling me from the inside-out Towards the abyss before me I hold my breath, stepping out of the rain To enter the mansion in my nightmare
