Waving the white flag again
You can see I been through struggle within the prodigal
Wandered the wilderness and
Came out with emptiness how can I win
Bitterness eating my soul
Rid of this ignorance taking its toll
Recklessly living like I'm in control
But Lord I know I reap what I sow
So here I am feeling so lost I know you found me
I know your Spirit surrounds me
Is it iniquities noose these hidden bruises under the physical proof
The truth is I am a sinner saved by grace
I made some major mistakes
Here I am once again back at the Cross
I'm down here seeking your face
Feeling like adam that day hiding in shame
I miss the cool of the day
When we would talk and run under the sun
I miss just being your son

Into my Father hands
Surrendering all of my plans
O Son of Man help me get back up and stand

Lead me to a place where I didn't want to be near
I lost friends and my family in the process
But at the time I didn't care, didn't care about the losses
Lord saved me from the lowest of lows,
Now I know you'll lead me to the places where I should go
It took time but I came back to the king
Cause I wasn't done fighting, put me back in the ring
All the hours in therapy had me faced against the pain
I'm done running from my past, got everything to gain
Fighting for my life and all the other generations
I'm crucified with Christ, 2:20 Galatians
I no longer live but Christ lives in me
Took off the blinds now I can finally see
When the waves crash and the storms loud
I will choose to love you everyday now
Freedom begins when we learn to surrender
