As we go through life We lose something Something magical We lose the memories of yesteryear We grow and the child within us Becomes a memory A memory that repeats itself From time to time Bringing back those bittersweet And carefree moments Before time swept in And carried them away On it's nonstop ride Through eternity We reach the age of realization And the innocence We once had is lost Family Friends And all else Ultimately Become memories As we reach the end Of our program tonight I leave you with These final thoughts When we see the white light At the end of our time When the carousel of memories Circles though our mind What will be our impression Will we have lived To our fullest potential Or will we look back On a life with regrets Will our legacy inspire Or be easily forgotten What memories will you have left For those who come after Life happens in the blink of an eye Don't let it slip by
