If I wake up tomorrow and not know who I am,
Will I lay there in sorrow or would I be a new man?
Would the new morning sun be the one to cleanse my regrets,
Or would I be looking for someone I never met?
If my phone started buzzing and your name lit up the screen,
Would that light give me comfort? Would it mean something to me?
Could all my mistakes be erased from this unfortunate thought,
Or would I be that person still fated and flawed?
My hopes might be hopeless. They're my air and my food.
So I keep on drinking the water that I'm use to.
If I never left prison or the warmth of your bed,
Would rolling stone junkies be stealing my bread?
Would all that seems safe keep me safe?
Would all that seems wrong do me harm?
I'm never decided no matter which side I'm on.
