Where are my colored lights?
Beads and bleachers and colored lights
Passing smiles 'round and 'round
Thumping oom-pah-pah organ sound
Noisy boys, long and lean
Giggles of girls in the mezzanine
Filtered through colored lights
Gold and amber and green
Soon I'm back to my survival jobs to pay my rent
It felt like I was working so hard and I couldn't get any traction
And I didn't even know if I was getting close
After a while it really started to wear me down
And I thought, maybe I just got lucky before
Maybe this is a sign, I'm supposed to be doing something else
