I remember being in the car while my mom was driving on the highway
And her hands were up to the sky and her eyes were closed and she was crying out to the Lord
Tears falling down her face and I remember we was going through so much hell

It was a long time ago my family was ripped apart and nothing was going our way

My mother never gave up she was legally hustling
Working night and day and going back to school
Never leeching off the government though we needed the food
She had to walk to work cause she ain't have a working car
She stuck with it stayed faithful I see her as a star
I would of never been the man that I become today
