Well, cast ya mind back to the Raleigh Burners, Those Angela Lansbury murders, Iron Bru was made in Scotland somehow from girders, And the internet was something nobody had ever heard of, Word Up'was kicking on a daily occurrence, Kings of world, and our parents were our servants. Nothing was urgent, just chillin observance. Doing some madness for a kicks not a disturbance. Insurgence of the next generation Future vision with no expectations Colour blind to black, white or Asian Having fun was our only obligation. And without a hesitation, I'd do it all again, Take me back to skateboarding with friends. Coz what made me who I am was the funtimes, Now I'm reminiscing waiting for the sunrise. Fast forward a few years & im stomping in raves, On A Ragga Tip pumping, hands in the air with my mates, Dressed in Ellesee & Fila, dodging crazy drug dealers, Tell your girlfriend I feel her, every chance I might steal her. Undercuts, and double drops, Random searches from the cops, Teenage anx & spots, Dancing til in Big Tops. Now I realise I was built on lows & highs, So I'm reminiscing just waiting for the sunrise. Present day, and many things have changed, I'm a Raver at heart, now I'm the guy on the stage, Yeah I turned a new page, lost all of the rage, And let all my inhibitions right outta their cage. Over decade ago I found a new life, Put a ring on her finger, and made her my wife. Gave the most precious things id ever seen with my eyes, You see now. My three kids are my sunrise.
