Another civilization vanishes An age of knowledge burned on the altar of greed Material wealth associated with numbers But real richness comes from sharing and open-mindedness Can't we see we're digging our own grave? For unity we need a common enemy But what will be left in the end? An empty space And so, we will need enemies within History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce And I'm taking part in this suicide Ironic, I fly this ship for a living You know, I have to pay the bills and the rent I'm acting against my will Pure alienation And for what? Dying like that, choking in my own blood Killed by greed and stupidity That thing drags me I can see the inanimate corpses of my greedy crew A powerful hand seizes me I think I'm facing Nemesis She utters the sentence "Let it be" I blissfully embrace my dismal fate
