Biography

Singer & Songwriter, Composer & Producer / Music Composition & Production / Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá - Colombia). A journey through different sound landscapes; influenced by some Latin and Caribbean roots music and mixed with Electropop. She has been developing her career since 2007, and has currently recorded two full-length albums along with several single releases and numerous collaborations with musicians from Colombia and the world. 2017 is a year of success and accomplishment for Sol Okarina, as pioneer mixing Songs with calypso, Antillean rhythms and Colombian sounds with electropop. Her formidable voice accompanied by the cuatro is the foundation of this proposal. PLANET4 her new álbum is produced with Emmanuel Briceño and Mauricio Tovar. “ The unique voice and the authentic sound. In this work, differently than in my previous works, I´ve decided to compose all the songs starting with the cuatro llanero, and even though in the album you can find diverse rhythms and genres, the connecting thread is this instrument that couple to my voice in a organic way, naturally.” “ My electronic calypso has a party sound and is good for dancing.
