You came like a rose from the barren earth
A flower as sweet as perfume
Like the sun in the morning
Sets fire to the dawn's gloomy haze
No more cold frozen winter nights
Just years of sweet autumn days
So in silence, here I'll lie
Letting the year long days go by
In my darkened mind, I'll dwell
Rather than face this living hell
No more soothing breeze

I knew this new day could never last
