There was a boy who never knew the comfort of wearing shoes
And his mother did all she knew to do to get through
Then came a man who was king enough to lend a helping hand
Gave a gift that would change this young boy's plan he knew

Still apart of him was searching for something it seemed
He saw a boy in the streets where he played and he was reminded of the day
