Biography

Drawing on elements of soul, jazz, and R&B to create their own clean and lyric-driven style of bedroom pop, Lucid State is a musical duo comprised of Ben Northam (vocals, keys, saxophone) and Shayan Fassih (guitar, bass). Formed in Oxford in 2019, the pair went on to release their first project Talk to Me in February of 2020, following up with their sophomore EP Wet Paint in December 2021. Their latest single Mango drops in May 2023.
