Drinkin' bourbon, nursin' time, trying to slow it down
But things are different now
Sure I still take my coffee black
Still drive my old man's Pontiac
Every now and then I still sneak a cigarette
Haven't taken that trip to Costa Rica yet
I still wear that old denim jacket
I still got a couple bad habits
But I quit the ones that left me on the floor
I don't think about us
And I don't drink whiskey anymore
Wasn't just the jack, that brought me right down to rock bottom
But that was so long ago
I didn't know that I'd forgotten

To remind me why we don't work
