Biography
Cantrell, born in Sylvester, was raised in Albany, Georgia just three hours south of Atlanta. In his early years he discovered jam-skating as a creative outlet and by his teenage years, he was able to turn pro as a jam skater—joining the historical breaking crew TBB. During his teenage years he began to write raps and get into music, studying artists such as Michael Jackson, Field Mob, OutKast, Eminem, Nirvana, and JAY-Z to name a few. By his college years he had been given a scholarship to play college football but says of this time that he "couldn't shake the feeling that this was not my path." After much consideration, he left to pursue a career in music as his win with Converse’s “Rubber Tracks” contest led to performances at SXSW and his first headlining shows. Not long after, Cantrell's music was discovered on Soundcloud by MiSCHiEF BOY and a collaboration soon formed. That work would eventually become the Stardust 2 Angels EP. That project represented a new pinnacle for Cantrell as it came on the heels of signing with Nas label, Mass Appeal Records where he released the Stardust 2 Angels EP and DEVIL NEVER EVEN LIVED. In early 2020, Cantrell left the label and on October 6th, 2020 released So, What Now?.
