Sup. I'm Mistazel. I'm an underground Phonk artist from Houston, Texas. I wouldn't call myself much of a trendsetter in Phonk. I just make stuff that I would love to perform and that has meaning to me. 90% of my beats come from Aurakami. He's my main producer and engineer and it's rare I stray away from him. That's why you also see him appear as a name on all of my music, despite me being the only vocalist. Most of my inspiration comes from Southern HipHop and of course a lot of Memphis rap. I do a pretty good job of avoiding using Phonk samples without clearance, but every once in a while if it's too hard it's kind of unavoidable, but we do our best to keep it transformative in every way possible. My entire goal with each track is to either: A: Make something that'd sound insane when performed live, B: Vent on a track, or C: Make something you can lift or drift to. Most of my music is going to sound like it came straight out of Houston with some form of a Phonk/underground vibe. I'm just me. I'm Mistazel. (Mist-ay-zel).
