Biography
The theme of the Crimson EP buries itself in the overwhelming feeling of loss and desolation. The first track (Crimson) shows the listener that the speaker is broken from the gut-wrenching loss of something very dear to them. It’s as if the loss is so absolute and numbing that you constantly drift and disassociate. The second track (Snowdrift) needs the feeling of unease and settling in with those overwhelming feelings of loss and numbness, almost haunting in their beauty as the speaker processes these emotions. The third and final track (Return To Gold) is centered around desolation: the pain, the catastrophic envelopment of the situation. It all hurts and the listener knows it, but the speaker feels like no one can see their desolation. We want the listener to have the feelings of the EP to sit with them at the conclusion of the final track. The name “Crimson” for the EP is the color associate with desolation, pain, and anger. We want the EP to entice the listener to reflect and remember a moment (or moments) they’ve yet to face or still pulls at their heart strings. Ominous and giant while providing a delicate guidance throughout. It has a very winter vibe to the overall idea because winter is cold and harsh yet carries on in its own grace and beauty no matter the state of the world.
