Biography

Slovak rapper and R&B singer Marko Damian was brought to a wider attention in 2018 by dropping his first singles under the Comebackgang collective, founded by a fellow Slovak rapper Pil C. Shortly after releasing hit singles like Rozhovory S Bohom, or Mravce, his musical talent and versatility became very apparent. In 2019, Marko released his first EP 50 Westside, which is the name of the address he was residing at, when he was finishing his University acting degree at The Royal School of Speech and Drama, in London. Followed by another EP called P.O.P! (Possessive Over a Person!)’’ in 2020, Marko introduces himself in a brand new light, as he seems to step aside from his typical crooning, and focuses more on the vocal, and lyrical clarity. As a result, a more commercial success comes, especially with the hit single Dystópia, produced by Nuri. 15th November 2021, dates as a debut album release - Blažená Nevedomosť consists of 18 audio tracks and includes hit singles like OnlyFriends , Otáča Sa Mi Svet, or Vanilkové Nebo. The album sees features from Annet X, Taomi, Zayo, Orion, and Mess, and again, shows Marko in a new light as he dabbles in electronic, or house music, and yet stays true to his Rap/R&B background. Blažená Nevedomosť became critically acclaimed shortly after its release, and granted Marko a spot on Slovakia’s biggest summer festivals like Grape, or Uprising. Marko is set to release his second studio album in 2023.
