Biography
CROC SHOP was conceived above a record shoppe in Berlin in 1987. They released their debut album in 1988 of "gloomy goth" produced by the guitarist of the Chameleons UK; many reviews noted Joy Division & Cure influences. By 1993 they had morphed into a fully "electro industrial" act and released their debut CD, "Celebrate The Enemy" produced by WaxTrax! artist SMG. Hailed as the natural offspring of 242, Laibach and Ebb, the band was courted by Machinery Records of Germany and ultimately turned the label down. From the mid 90's until 2002 CS released a slew of albums on Metropolis Records, distributed in Europe by SPV, SubMission, Semaphore & OutLine. In 2004 a double CD ("SEA: Self Extracting Archive") best-of was issued with one new track. "Resist!" saw the band reform in 2020 & release their 1st new music in over 15 years. "Perpetual Sequence" their 9th full-length was released on 5th, March 2021.
