London based mc/producer Sonnyjim puts his own twist on UK rap music. He has created his own flamboyant lane of lifestyle rap which sets him well away from his counterparts. It was his 2016 "Mud In My Malbec” LP that garnered the attention of both listeners and critics worldwide. The outing featured Shady Records then relatively unknown “Westside Gunn”, New York stalwart and Das Racist frontman “Heems”, “Da$h” nephew of Roc A Fella’s Dame Dash and Mello Music Groups “Quelle Chris”. The record dropped on the infamous now world famous Daupe! Records who have gone on to set the pace within the independent vinyl hip hop market. Since then he has been on a run. Working alongside the likes of MF DOOM, Jay Electronica, Madlib, DJ Premier, Roc Marci, Conway The Machine, Kool Keith, Lord Apex, Rag n Bone Man, Sleaford Mods, Stove God Cooks, Rome Streetz, The Purist, Kev Brown, Buckwild (DITC) to name a few.
