Biography
Cherie Oakley began singing at the age of three. By the age of six, she had already finished two records and signed with a talent agency in Atlanta and a manager in New York. Cherie grew up singing multiple genres of music and performing in various churches, festivals and regional theaters throughout the United States before her first television appearance at age 10, where she was a junior vocalist on Star Search. When Cherie moved to Nashville she began singing demo sessions and developing her skills as a songwriter. Soon after, Cherie began singing background vocals on numerous records for various artists and touring with superstars such as Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson and Kelly Clarkson, and many more, as well as appearing on several music videos and television shows. Cherie joined Team Xtina on the very first season of NBC's The Voice and celebrated her first #1 hit as a songwriter with, “Turn on the Radio,” performed by the queen of country Reba McEntire. In 2018, Cherie signed with Number One Group and recorded her first EP as a solo artist with award winning producer Dann Huff. Cherie is currently celebrating the release of her first single "Work It" off her soon to debut EP.
