Biography
French opera singer - countertenor - revealed by J-C Malgoire, Théophile ALEXANDRE has since performed on many prestigious stages (Paris Philharmony, New-York Lincoln Center, Champs-Elysées Theater, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Venice Fenice, the operas of Versailles, Ottawa, Bern…), singing baroque music (Vivaldi, Bach, Haendel...), classical music (Mozart, Haydn, Gluck...) and contemporary creations (Escaich, Lavandier, Moultaka...). With a double degree in lyric singing and contemporary dance from the CNSM of Lyon, he has collaborated with both renowned conductors (W. Christie, G. Garrido, S. D’Hérin, P. Agnew, C. Grapperon, associate of L. Equilbey...) and choreographers (J-C Gallotta, L. Scozzi, P. Bausch, J. Montalvo, D. Hervieu...). In 2018, his debut solo album ADN BAROQUE was a worldwide première undressing baroque music in the intimacy of piano-voice, and performed on stage with choreographies by J-C Gallotta, both sung and danced by Théophile. Directly n°1 when released, the album now cumulates more than 4 millions of streams. His new album & show NO(S) DAMES is a genderless tribute to operas' divas redistributing musical direction to women and ladies' agonies to a man. Best french classical selling album of 2022 with more than 3 millions of streams, NO(S) DAMES is on tour in France and in Paris at Le Trianon Jan the 9th and April the 11th of 2023.
