Biography

Back in 1997, after dropping out of the 8th grade, Jennifer, Mallory, and Lexi started Girlband. Their goal was to play the Half-time show at the Superbowl. Sadly, that never happened. In '98, Jennifer got married to her 8th grade science teacher, so Scott took over on vocals and bass. In '99, Mallory quit the band, saying the emotion was dead and the lack of technical guitar playing ruined the songs. That is when Cary took over on drums. He didn't mind the lack of emotion. And in 2000, Lexi got pregnant and left the band to take care of her twins. This is when Steve started with us on the axe, adding zero emotion and zero technical skills. In 2003, Girlband formed My Bible Company in order to record and document the first demos written by the original lineup. In 2017, after the release of The Letdown, Cary launched his solo punk project Hateful Julie The current lineup still plays all the Girlband originals.
