Biography
Junior high: the not-so glory days of peach fuzz and hand jobs. Tired of castrated pop punk and nu metal of MTV, Sam (guitar) and Dave (vox) vow to create a band as exciting The Stooges, as recognizable as the Ramones, and as hook-driven as the Buzzcocks. Thus begins the 20+ year mission that is WYLDLIFE. Eventually, Spencer (bass) joins up to save true rock from extinction and in 2010 the crew cuts class to cut wax. Their debut, Wyldlife, catches comparisons to the beloved fallen Bowery scene, as well as The Replacements, The Hives and The Exploding Hearts. Equipped with their fail-proof, sweat-soaked live show, the boys declare The Time Has Come to Rock & Roll in 2014. Produced by Tuk of Biters fame, their 2nd LP stomps any assumption of a sophomore slump. The album reaches the ears of Little Steven, who inks a deal with his Wicked Cool Records. Backed with radio play and the addition of Stevie (drums), the band keeps the motor running with the infectious Out on Your Block (2017), a soundtrack for street-walking cretins across the globe. 2020: the mullets are lopped and 90's Britpop becomes part of the gang’s sound pallet. Their 4th record, Year of the Snake hatches for the world and is hailed by critics as their finest work yet, loaded with the sort of hooklines only the most veteran of songwriters can muster. As the world blazes and cracks under pressure, the boys blaze a joint and crack a beer (or 20), still set to conquer hearts and ears everywhere.
