Ceremonial Castings began in the fall of 1996. The band was founded by brothers Jake and Nick Superchi and later joined by drummer Matt Mattern. The writing & the lyrical foundation on the art of black magic, witchcraft & rituals could only lead to the name of Ceremonial Castings. The recipe itself contains many magicks of genres formulating the band’s self deemed sound as “Bewitching Black Metal".
