Biography
Polish black metal outfit Devilish Impressions "officially" formed in November 2000. Founders Quazarre (vocals, guitars, synths), Turquoissa (synths), and Starash (guitars) released their first album, a self-released affair entitled Eritis Sicut Deus; Verbum Diaboli Manet in Aeternum; Vox Vespertilio Act I -- Moon Var Dies Irae, in 2002. Expanding the band in 2005 for the recording of their next full-length, Devilish Impressions joined forces with bassist Adrian Nefarious and drummer Dragor of Luna Ad Noctum. The album that followed, Plurima Mortis Imago, was strong enough to attract the attention of a record label, and the band soon signed a deal with Conquer Records. The label released the album in late 2006, just in time for Devilish Impressions to run into a few lineup troubles, with Starash moving to bass in the wake of the departed Adrian Nefarious, and Abused Majesty drummer Icanraz taking over for Dragor. Devilish Impressions also added to the lineup by taking on guitarist Armers. Some touring followed, including a slot at an English black metal festival, and in 2007 the band was ready to return to the studio. In the summer of 2007 Devilish Impressions recorded their third collection, Diabolicanos, Act III: Armageddon. Before the record hit the shops in the early days of 2008, Devilish Impressions toured with the legendary Polish metal band Vader, in addition to topping the bill on their first headlining tour, with stops in the Ukraine and Moldova. ~ Chris True, Rovi
