    Jp Thornewell is a singer songwriter and recording engineer Born in Miami Florida. Jp discovered a love for music very early on after family relocated to the town that would raise him Traverse city Michigan. At the age of 8 years old Jp joined his elementary school choir and discovered his passion for singing. Throughout his years of public school Jp was active in the choir and his high school musicals, combining singing, dancing, and performing, confirming this is what he was meant to do. Jp used this knowledge to command the stage in his personal music journey, in 2016 moving to Chicago and cutting his teeth at soundscape studios. Jp became an engineer understudy to owner operator Michael Kolar. During this time Jp was pursuing his education at SAE Institute graduating in 2017 with an associates degree in audio technology. Since then he has put all his time into singing, songwriting, and recording his own music. In 2018, Jp landed a job as a staff engineer at soundscape studios where he has been for the last 4 years engineering clients from Serayah to Trinidad James elevating his recording and mixing abilities. In 2020, JP further developed his sound and released his single "Lakehouse" now amassing over 35 thousand spotify streams. His style alternates between rock, hip hop, country and pop.
