Biography

Nebraska 66 is a music recording project launched by veteran father and son music duo Phil and Mark Brey. Their project’s goal is to record Phil’s considerable output of original compositions, written over his lifetime, and to make these recordings available to family, friends and a wider audience. Using state of the art recording techniques and the occasional hired Nashville singer, they are assembling a collection of recordings that many find highly enjoyable and deserving of a home on their playlist. 
 Arranged and produced by Mark, their music is steadfast to the timeless traditions of Country music while also being open to rock, blues, folk and other musical influences. Their unique blend of styles, instrumentation and techniques has produced a Country music genre surprisingly refreshing in its originality, versatility and depth; always with a captivating beat. Phil’s songs are inspired by a wealth of colorful life experiences including time as a real hobo riding freight trains and jobs building bridges and constructing railroad cars.
