Biography
2018 has been a big year for Rootsz. After signing to Westvilla Music Publishing, he dropped February Drip, a six-track joint project with fellow Dutch talent Ducktape. With that EP, Rootsz turned heads and rang eardrums of trap and hip hop fans from Amsterdam to Atlanta. Several of the project's hard-pounding and high-energy tracks were prominently playlisted on Spotify, including "Like A King" and "That's Bass." Just weeks after dropping February Drip, Rootsz was back in the studio recording 020, his next EP which takes its name from the postal code of his hometown of Amsterdam. Fans recently got an advance listen to "All The Time" and "Out The Sky," two tracks off 020, when Rootsz paid a visit to DJ Darkstepper and The Pit London Show in London, England in July. From August thru October, in anticipation of the release of 020, Rootsz is taking up a three-month residence in Los Angeles. There Rootsz will be collaborating with a number of up-and-coming artists, including FORTUNE, one of LA's hottest record producers.
