Biography
Garnering heavy praise from some of Australia’s biggest media, The Engagement deliver indie music with a stadium sound drawing influence from the likes of Bleachers, Coldplay and Bastille. MTV calls their single Heaven So Close an “uplifting anthem”, Triple J state “they can clearly put together the hooks and glitz.” Fox FM described them as having “a cool 80s/retro sound” and Triple M called them “fantastic.” Their songs combine earnest storytelling and big hooky melodies to create their own brand of pop-rock that has gained over one million streams on Spotify. They’ve performed to audiences across Australia, including St.Kilda Festival and Oktoberfest. After recently selling out 4 shows at Melbourne's iconic Luna Park, The Gasometer and Cherry Bar, the band continues to showcase new material at live shows with an upcoming EP on the way.
