Biography

Hailing from Rhyl in North Wales, Finnlay is the newest voice in the UK Indie Pop scene. Synth-infused, guitar driven choruses and introspective lyrics have drawn comparisons to the likes of Blossoms and Dermot Kennedy. New single 'Take A Ride' is a breath of fresh air, a summery antidote to the cold winter months. Inspired by some of Finnlay's more alternative influences, this new single sees a shift to a more modern and chilled sound. Collaborating with the Blue Dolphin Wranglers, 'Take A Ride' hits you immediately with an infectious chorus that feels like an immediate dopamine hit, sending the listener surfing through the rest of the track. ‘Take A Ride’ is the first single release for Finnlay since he played to 7000 people at a sold-out M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool as part of Have A Word Live in December 2022.
