Frankie Chavez established himself as one of the most original musicians of the Portuguese new musical scene; you can hear about him as the new blues revelation of south Europe. His music is a combination of a broad range of sounds that creates a blues/roots/rock composed of clean rhythms and other beats that are rawer and psychedelic. Even though his music can be identified through various musical influences (Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Kelly Joe Phelps, Ry Cooder), it is nearly impossible to define his music with one single word. Frankie has a unique and distinctive style. As a multi-instrumentalist, Frankie Chavez loves to play with variety, using several guitars, with different tunings, personalized tambourines, and a wide collection of pedals. When he overlaps different guitar sounds with a loop station, it creates a rich and aggressive sonority, in which nothing is out of place.
