Carla Pires is one of the Portuguese artists that has most sung abroad: in hundreds of concerts in 23 countries, in Europe’s most privileged music festivals, performances at highly coveted concert halls, during successful tours in Japan, with excellent reviews in many leading European newspapers and magazines. She began her singing career in 1993, participating in several musical projects, recording soundtracks and playing roles as an actress for TV series in Portugal. Between 2002 and 2006, she played the young Amalia in the successful Portuguese musical about this fado idol. 2005, performance at the Word Expo-Japan representing Portugal. She established herself as a fado singer in 2008, since then, she has constantly toured internationally, entertaining audiences in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. In 2014, at the invitation of the Portuguese choreographer Vasco Wellenkamp, Carla Pires embarked on tour of 32 dates through The Netherlands with the contemporary dance show “Fado”, with live music performed by the singer. Following the launch of Pires’ third album “AQUI”, 2017 saw the start of the “Aqui World tour”, with concerts in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Uruguay and a 14-concert tour of Japan, at the best venues of the main cities. April 2020, release of Pires’ fourth album “Cartografado”. May 2021, start of the “Cartografado World Tour”.
